Neon is a fast, native Android client for Mastodon and the wider Fediverse — built from the ground up with Jetpack Compose and wrapped in a distinctive glassy pink→purple→cyan aesthetic.

Log in with any Mastodon instance and get a clean, modern way to keep up with your timeline, your community, and the conversations that matter to you.

FEATURES

• Timelines — Home, Local, and Federated feeds with pull-to-refresh and a "new posts" banner, plus dedicated timelines for hashtags and lists.

• Rich threads — Full conversation view with collapsible content warnings and blur overlays for sensitive media.

• Post interactions — Favourite, boost, vote in polls, share, edit, delete & re-draft, mute, block, and report — plus a favourited/boosted-by sheet and an edit history viewer.

• Composer — Write posts with media attachments and alt text, polls, content warnings, visibility controls, and @-mention autocomplete.

• Direct messages — A dedicated tab for your private conversations, with a recipient picker for starting new ones.

• Bookmarks — Save posts for later in their own tab.

• Explore — Trending posts, hashtags, and links with at-a-glance trend graphs, plus full-text and hashtag search.

• Notifications, done right — A clean notification feed with keyword filters and a review queue for filtered notifications, so nothing important slips through.

• Lists & followed hashtags — Organize the people and topics you follow, manage list membership right from a profile.

• Profile tools — Edit your bio, avatar, header, and custom profile fields.

• Real push notifications — Get notified instantly, even in the background, with all decryption happening on your device — your notification content is never readable by any relay in between.

• Built for big screens — Adaptive list-detail layouts for tablets and unfolded foldables.

• Light on data — An offline cache keeps your timeline available and snappy, even on a spotty connection.

Neon is an independent, unofficial client and is not affiliated with the Mastodon project. It works with any standard Mastodon server — just enter your instance address to sign in.

Recent changes:
• Fixed login failing on instances that delegate sign-in to an external SSO/OIDC provider (e.g. Vivaldi Social).
• Added support for follow requests: accept or reject incoming requests to follow your locked account right from Notifications.
• Long posts in feeds and lists are now truncated with a "Show more" hint instead of taking over the whole screen.
• Fixed the Post button getting clipped on narrower phone screens.
• Tapping the top bar on the Home tab now scrolls straight to the top.
