Third party apps have to be used after connected such as a VNC client, RDP client, SSH client, or a SFTP/SMB compatible file manager. All of which are freely available on the play store. This is an excellent app! Running on Android 4x, the app is very similar to the original version of Hamachi (before LogMeIn bought it). Together with VNC, it makes for a very nice, and secure remote access system. I've got the Windows version installed on a number of distant family computers, for those occasional tech support calls. It's a nice replacement for Hamachi. I like it better than Teamviewer too.

Does this app work? Not so far I've got neorouter set up on my pc, not much of an issue, the setup was fairly straight forward. I do wish they'd use uPNP though. I hate adding port forwards to my router for things like this. The android app is having serious issues logging in from the same lan however. I can connect computer to computer just fine, but this app on my kindle fire continually gives a cannot reach error.

Stopped Working!! I will change this review upon it being fixed on new android Lollipop devices. Having upgraded to Lollipop on my Samsung S5 NeoRouter free no longer works. It appears that a connection to the server is established which is verified on both the android client and my mac clients but no transport is possible between clients. Also, I notice that when you connect the Neorouter Free VPN on Lollipop no other internet applications work. Its like the traffic is being routed through the VPN but obviously can go anywhere as its designed to enable connectivity between connected clients and not as routing traffic through a private VPN service. Please fix and I will subsequently up NeoRouter to 5 stars because I do love this application when it was working.

5 Stars for those with a domain login However, I don't have domain logon at home, so I cannot login to the application to use the vpn feature and therefore cannot logon to my uni VPN server. Not useful for me. I like the concise permissions required though.
