Open Camera has the following features: * Option to auto-level so your pictures are perfectly level no matter what. * Expose your camera's functionality: support for scene modes, color effects, white balance, ISO, exposure compensation/lock, selfie with "screen flash", HD video and more. * Handy remote controls: timer (with optional voice countdown), auto-repeat mode (with configurable delay), Bluetooth LE remote control (for specifically supported smartphone housing). * Option to take photo remotely by making a noise. * Configurable volume keys and user interface. * Upside-down preview option for use with attachable lenses. * Overlay a choice of grids and crop guides. * Optional GPS location tagging (geotagging) of photos and videos; for photos this includes compass direction (GPSImgDirection, GPSImgDirectionRef). * Apply date and timestamp, location coordinates, and custom text to photos; store date/time and location as video subtitles (.SRT). * Option to remove device exif metadata from photos. * Panorama, including for front camera. * Support for HDR (with auto-alignment and ghost removal) and Exposure Bracketing. * Support for Camera2 API: manual controls (with optional focus assist); burst mode; RAW (DNG) files; camera vendor extensions; slow motion video; log profile video. * Noise reduction (including low light night mode) and Dynamic range optimisation modes. * Options for on-screen histogram, zebra stripes, focus peaking. * Focus bracketing mode. * No third party ads in the app (I only run third party ads on the website). Recent changes: New optional on-screen icons for locking orientation to portrait/landscape, and preview shots. Grids now rotate when auto-level is enabled. Exif tags now supported for WebP and PNG image formats. Panorama photos now store XMP metadata to mark these as panorama images (JPEG formats only).
Photos no longer save on UI thread when using "Pause after taking photo" option.

This app is so great for recording yourself playing drums because it has a feature that can bypass the AGC or what we call Auto Gain Control which will compress the loud audio like drums, so it will become distorted when you use the phones built in camera. But on this app it does not have Auto Gain Control, so it will capture the loud noise without distortion like drums or even recording the live band, this app is absolutely great for drummers and musicians.

The best, simple yet effective camera app I've ever seen, better than those trendy ones. It has the lowest quality option(I need ut sometimes) and the highest one too, which is unique. Just don't change anything, it is best as it is.

I mean it's alr but the max exposure is only 0.5 seconds, and I can't manually change the aperture. I have a Samsung s26 ultra and can do 30-second exposures on my normal camera app. Why doesn't this one go above 0.5? Besides that it's a bit difficult but once you get used to it and learn then it's better. Pls just add the option to manually control aperture and add a higher exposure option please. oh and if you could add an option for photo stacking and stuff because I use this for astrophiles.

It has a LED torch mode in the popup menu (if the flash button is hidden), which is really useful for taking photos in darkness. I love this app, and the developer is really helpful. 10/10

We recorded two real estate videos with OC using an external Harmonic wireless mic yesterday, then two today only to learn during review that the app did not acknowledge the external mic!! Infuriating!! We reshot the clips on another app without issue. We tested the app and mic again. It worked fine without incident. Tried it outside, same problem. I can't tolerate an app that can't play well with external boosters like a wireless mic. What a shame.

Used to work great, but has disintegrated these past couple of months. I don't dare change from photos to video now because I can't get it back to photos, no matter what I do unless I uninstall and reinstall. Shutter speed lags now, videos film in landscape and view in portrait... I haven't changed any settings at all. I really liked this app but have to find a new one because I can no longer rely on this to do what I need when I need it which is to take a simple picture.

It will be appreciated if Audio level indicator to be made in green yellow and red green low, yellow mid-high and red peak in vertical Bar with db meter reading, also audio clipping indicator should be included, front and back camera selection to be made available.
