News Team Drivers is the official mobile app for delivery drivers operating with News Team Group, the UK's leading home news delivery network. This app is for use by authorised News Team Group drivers only. A login is required and accounts are issued by News Team Group operations to active drivers — public sign-up is not available. What the app does News Team Drivers gives warehouse and trunking drivers everything they need to complete their round each morning: • View your assigned route, including pickup point, drop locations and stop sequence • See product loads and quantities for each stop • Live route tracking, so the operations team knows where every vehicle is during the delivery window • Mark stops as completed as you progress through your round • Receive real-time updates from the operations team if a route changes mid-shift • Capture proof-of-delivery and report any issues directly from the app Built for early-morning operations News Team Group runs a tight pre-dawn distribution window. The app is designed to be fast, reliable and easy to use in low-light conditions, with a clear interface that works for drivers wearing gloves, in a hurry, and often offline between stops. Routes are cached locally so drivers can keep working through patchy mobile coverage. Background location The app records your location during your active shift so News Team Group can confirm route completion, support drivers if they encounter problems, and provide accurate ETAs to receiving handover points. Location tracking only runs while you are on an active round and stops automatically when the round is completed. A persistent notification is shown on your device whenever location tracking is active. Who this app is for News Team Drivers is exclusively for contracted and employed drivers of News Team Group.
