Nokia Launcher is a retro launcher for Android that brings classic Nokia-style simplicity to your modern phone. Enjoy a familiar keypad, a minimalist home screen, and a more deliberate way to use everyday apps.

Whether you love old-school phones or want a calmer digital life, Nokia Launcher combines a nostalgic phone interface with tools for focus and digital wellbeing.

CLASSIC PHONE FEEL, MODERN ANDROID ACCESS

Rediscover the character of a classic mobile phone: an LCD-inspired display, directional navigation, familiar number keys, and keypad sounds.

This Nokia-style launcher gives your Android home screen a distinctive retro look while keeping your installed apps within reach. Bring back the feeling of a feature phone without giving up the smartphone tools you need.

A MINIMALIST LAUNCHER FOR MORE INTENTIONAL USE

Make your home screen a place to complete a task and move on.

Nokia Launcher is designed around simple navigation and useful everyday actions. Its calm interface offers an alternative to crowded home screens, helping you approach your phone with a clear purpose.

Use it as a simple launcher for daily life, a retro home screen replacement, or a starting point for a more mindful relationship with technology.

DUMB MODE: KEEP THE ESSENTIALS

Want a dumbphone experience on the Android phone you already own?

Dumb Mode lets you choose which apps remain available and restrict access to the rest. Keep your essential tools accessible while adding a boundary around distracting apps.

When the required Accessibility service is enabled, opening a blocked app during Dumb Mode returns you to the home screen.

Use this app blocker to support focused work, study sessions, or a digital detox. It is a practical tool for reducing distractions and working toward less screen time.

FRIEND AUTHENTICATOR FOR ACCOUNTABILITY

Add support from someone you trust.

Friend Authenticator lets you pair with a friend and use friend-provided unlock codes for Dumb Mode. This adds an accountability step when you want help sticking to the boundaries you set.

RETRO KEYPAD AND KEYBOARD

Bring classic phone input into your daily routine.

Use Nokia-style keys, directional controls, and a multi-tap keyboard inspired by traditional mobile phones. Customize keypad sounds to make the experience feel familiar.

Navigation in other apps depends on what those apps and your Android device support.

EVERYDAY TOOLS WITH A SIMPLE INTERFACE

Access contacts, calling and messaging features, a clock, a flashlight, and a browser through a familiar phone-style interface. Find and open your installed Android apps when you need them.

Nokia Launcher brings these everyday actions together with the simplicity of a classic phone and a modern minimalist approach.

ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE: WHAT IT DOES

Nokia Launcher uses Android's AccessibilityService API for these features:

• Nokia key navigation: access on-screen interface elements to move focus, select items, scroll supported apps, and go Back.
• Key shortcuts: open Android Recent Apps and lock the screen.
• Dumb Mode app blocking: detect the foreground app's package name when the active window changes and return Home if that app is blocked.

Dumb Mode checks the foreground app identifier; it does not read screen text or send app usage data. Cross-app key navigation uses the active window's interface structure to carry out your key actions.

You enable this service in Android Accessibility settings and can disable it there. Features that depend on the service require it to remain enabled. Compatibility varies by device and app.
