NotesGalore: Markdown Notes

Your notes. Connected.

Capture ideas in Markdown, link related notes and turn your thinking into plans. NotesGalore brings notes, notebooks, tasks and calendar events together in a local-first workspace, with no account needed for ordinary offline writing.

WRITE, ORGANIZE AND CONNECT
Write and read formatted Markdown, or edit the Markdown source directly. Organize notes in notebooks, use colours and covers to find your place, and connect related ideas with wiki-links and backlinks. Search your notes and keep favourites close.

TURN NOTES INTO PLANS
Add checklist tasks and due dates inside your notes. Review tasks together in Tasks and Calendar, keep daily notes, and use the optional Today view to focus on the day ahead. Reminders depend on Android permissions and device settings.

KEEP USEFUL DETAILS TOGETHER
Attach images and files to your notes. View supported image previews, save a copy of an attachment, or open a supported file in another app on Android. Free includes up to five attachments per note. Your original files and note text remain yours to export.

START WITH THE FREE APP
Create unlimited local notes and notebooks. Formatted editing, Markdown source, wiki-links, backlinks, tasks, calendar, daily notes, full-text search, reminders, Markdown import/export and full backups are included. Free shows the three most recent saved versions of a note. NotesGalore shows no ads.

OPTIONAL PRO
Pro adds visual Boards for organizing notes into lists, drag-to-reorder notes and notebooks, nested notebooks, subtasks and recurring task schedules. Create new notes directly in a Board or add existing notes, then move cards between lists. Pro also adds PDF highlights and ink, longer recordings, advanced document search, the full interactive knowledge graph, extended version history, more attachments, premium covers and additional fonts. Check the installed app and Google Play for eligible paid features, available plans, localized prices and purchase or renewal terms. Existing Lifetime purchases retain their restore rights without conversion or recurring charges.

LOCAL STORAGE AND BACKUPS
Notes and attachments are stored locally, and ordinary writing works offline without a NotesGalore account. Export Markdown for portability or create a full backup for recovery. The installed app can protect a full backup with a passphrase. Keep that passphrase safe; Markdown exports and ordinary local notes are not automatically encrypted. Optional connected features require separate setup and availability.

Purchase validation sends an anonymous app user ID and purchase records to RevenueCat when you open the upgrade screen, restore or buy, and at each launch once you have Pro, an earlier purchase or a started purchase. Supported Android image attachments can use on-device Latin-script text recognition. Google's ML Kit library sends Google information about the device, the app and the library's performance. See the privacy policy for details.
