Comments on Notification Catch App for Android

★★★★★ Works ok. I liked that it had the ability to set a sound level even if the phone is on silent/vibrate, but I can't seem to get that to work.

★★★★★ I give it props for working when there aren't many applications like this in the Play store. An unfortunate bug is (like hairspray said) that turning ringtone and notification volume down don't affect this app. It will make noise anyway. Also, I noticed that if I was watching a video or playing a game, anything using media volume, then anytime I got a notification sound from this app, the media volume increased almost up to max for a full two heart stopping seconds before returning to normal, not even sounding the set notification sound. It was unpleasantly unexpected and both of those issues make this app hard to keep, but otherwise, it would be perfect. It's cool to be able to have different notification tones for the same app filtered by keywords in the push notification, and the ongoing alert is useful. I would certainly pay up if the kinks were ironed out. Edit: Changed my rating accordingly when the bugs were fixed promptly. Thanks so much for creating a useful app. It's hard to find any that change notification sounds for different apps and actually works.

★★★★★ Works great! Per app notifications should be a feature in Android. For those having issues, make sure Notification Access is set for the app.

★★☆☆☆ It's ridiculous that this is a subscription service. Yeah it's great that you can really customize the sound for any notification, and you have access to hundreds of sounds, but sifting through those sounds is a pain. Most of them are so similar to each other it's pointless. I barely tolerated it when it was 99 cents a year. Now that they've tripled the price, no, thanks. If it had just been a one time price, I might have kept it. But not as a "subscription." That makes no sense. Not worth it.

★★☆☆☆ Broken on Android 10. Worked until update. Yet to be fixed. Checked all settings. Thinking of unsubscribing and now need new solution.
