Description
GEDexplorer is a browser for genealogy data contained in GEDCOM files. Using GEDexplorer you can keep your family history data with you at all times, in your phone or in your tablet. With GEDexplorer there's no recurring fee, no need to share your data with others and no need to stay connected to the internet.
Please note that GEDexplorer can not (yet) edit genealogy data - it can only visualize genealogy information that you have already collected.

Support for GEDCOM elements FACT (for facts), NICK, _USED and _RUFNAME (for nicknames) and _ROOT (for starting person). Support for GEDCOM objects OBJE (for media files) and _PLAC (for places). Bug fixes.

This is a great app. Loads fast and has great features. Traditional tree view. Love the circle graph. Details view shows all gedcom tags. Simple setting allows it to see all my photos. I wish it had a relationship calculator.

Nice and fast viewer Fast reader, even for my larger GED COM file. One request: please move the display of a person's notes and photos to the bottom of the screen so that their events and their family members (parents, spouse, children) are displayed at the top. As it is, I have to scroll down as lot to find that essential information.

This app gives me exactly what I want, which is to download a GED COM from my laptop to my Pad and use that offline. I've now loaded it on my Android Galaxy Note 9 phone as well. Permissions to the emulated folder did not allow the GED COM file to be loaded into emulated folder, so I turned to MS OneDrive. Perfect! The speed to display the graphics is little short of fantastic. Many thanks to the developer for prompt and helpful responses to my emails.

Tried 2 versions of my GED COM file. Claims an error each effort. One was created by My Heritage and the other originated with that file but was modified to work with Wiki tree.
