OBD2 ELM327 DTC Reader

Free OBD2 ELM327 DTC Reader is designed to find electronic control units in a vehicle, read diagnostic trouble codes, and clear faults through a compatible diagnostic adapter.

The app can scan not only the engine control unit, but also other available vehicle modules, including the transmission, ABS, SRS, body electronics, and other systems. Actual module availability depends on the vehicle, installed equipment, diagnostic protocol, and adapter capabilities.

Main features:

• search for available control units;
• read DTC diagnostic trouble codes;
• display current, pending, and stored faults when their status is reported by the control unit;
• clear faults in detected control units;
• quickly rescan previously detected control units;
• save the latest scan results;
• test the connection and selected adapter settings;
• automatic and manual scan modes;
• manually configure protocols, addresses, and control-unit ranges.

Supported connection methods:

• Bluetooth Classic;
• Bluetooth BLE;
• Wi-Fi;
• USB.

The app is designed for ELM327-family adapters and compatible devices. Diagnostic quality and available functions depend on the adapter version, its hardware implementation, and support for the required protocol.

For a more accurate explanation of a fault code, you can specify the vehicle make, model, and additional details, then send the prepared query to a selected service: ChatGPT, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Perplexity, or Google.

The app supports standard and extended diagnostic options over CAN, K-Line, and J1850. For non-standard vehicles, protocols, request addresses, and scan ranges can be configured manually.

The app is free and contains advertising. Access to some functions or results may require watching rewarded ads. A one-time project-support purchase removes all advertising from the app.
