Our OceanConnect™ service is an easy-to-use, powerful, cloud based tool for discovering and exploring ocean conditions along the coast of British Columbia and beyond - from Northern California to south-western Alaska. It is free, requiring no login or registration and is fully supported and maintained by the Hakai Institute. The service provides an ocean information service building upon one of the Hakai Institute's missions; to provide access to ocean data.

So far it seems to be pretty accurate. I really like how you can select a specific location on the chart and get the data, especially for currents. What would be ideal, is for the app to show you the coordinates of the selected location on the app. My biggest dislike is that you can only see the forecast for 2 days in the future, which makes it very difficult to plan a trip ahead of time.

Excellent for the price... but it's basically just a source for table data while you have a data connection. The map doesn't actually match the table data and there are big problems with the accuracy. E.g. Dodd Narrows has no water flowing through it but the aptly named False Narrows has all the water. Active Pass is another. The data in the table simply doesn't match the map. Pretty graphs and tables though!
