For years, I've been using Excel for Android to open and view my password protected .xlsx files on Google Drive - google sheets can't open them. Now suddenly its become Microsoft 365 copilot, and you have to sign in to use it. No way! After some searching I've found Plan Maker and it's perfect. Easy to use and just works.

I find it much easier to work on spreadsheets with this app than with Excel for Android. Very intuitive and all the options from the desktop application.

I'm trying it and love that I can open, save, and edit an Excel spreadsheet and all my formatting is there, but it is not easy to open a XLSX file directly into this app. I have to go into my documents folder app, click on file, open WITH Office NX, but then when I save changes, it doesn't put it back in the folder that I want it in. I'll keep playing with it. So far no ads. If paid version lets me save where I want it and open directly, I'll consider. But I have a ton of files!

I do not need this app to have access to ALL files. It does not need access to ALL files. ALL files should not be a starting minimum. Security Nightmare and a hard pass for anyone who understands basic security. Uninstalled immediately.

Good BUT also works with a "subscription service" no way to BUY it, which is unacceptable. No way I'm paying "forever" when I'm fine with the app "as is". I reject all subscriptions.

I use it on Desktop - very good. UPD: Aug 2025: HOwever, on Android things like SUM do not work when setting up a spreadsheetxfrom scratch....?????

Why does it need such comprehensive access. Including to external devices & usb storage.
