Great app with a fantastic idea. I've used it for over a year, and it works really well. My only concern is that more people are selling items instead of giving them away. I understand why, but there are already platforms like Facebook Marketplace and Gumtree for selling. I thought this app's purpose was to reduce waste by gifting unwanted items. I'd personally prefer if selling wasn't an option. Otherwise, it's a great app.

This is a very helpful app to our communities especially in this hard time when some of us are struggling to come up with enough to pay bills and the cost of living. With Olio, we have a chance to get something little whether it's food vegetables fruits or there are people willing to help others by giving away whatever they have to offer freely with their big heart. Olio created a toxic environment in Singapore;female volunteers are very stingy+calculative to share food with others. The beneficiaries take time to reach destination but volunteers limit e no. of items shared. Assuming u spent 20 mins walking, is 1 loaf of bread+a bag of onions economic? A family was allocated some stuff n a bottle of milk in the app. When reached volunteer's landed house, the latter said : you are so young, you don't need a huge bottle of milk! And didn't hand over the milk !!

We work hard to do food rescue. Olio let FWH scheme run Auto pilot. Slots are hard to get, yet some hv 4 perm slots EVERY week, these perm FWHs even compete to grab released slots. 1 squad cap I know (holds 4 slots in 2 stores) gave instructions to Perm members to cover ALL released slots, do not let outsiders grab slots! This is Olio food rescue program not a Mama store food rescue!! RIDICULOUS & selfish Squad Cap & sadly Olio didn't do anything!

The app is terrible, they have now decided that subscribers - those with money, get food first rather than those in poverty and in desperate need. Those who can't subscribe due to poverty - go hungry & starve - if they request food they are bombarded with adverts for every single item requested causing delay after delay meanwhile those who pay via subscription request ALL the food. A gratuitous sense if entitlement by those with money over those in poverty. This app has lost its way to greed
