Great game! Very addictive and require zero spending to win. A lot depend on your captain choice and the way you play them. You constantly get free access to more cards by winning. People that rated it low haven't played it enough imo. There are quite a few cards that can become op, not just Hercules. But all of them require lucky rng, or time to become op. Which makes every game unpredictable. Even card that have insane scaling can be beat by spell, or cards like black hole. Well-balanced

Got to legendary, got through an entire season's rewards/levels. Have most captains at this point. Pros: great art, game moves quick, lots of stuff going on cons: boils down to either you go animal buffs or go nuts w/ treasures. All other strats are secondary. Can't craft cards you need. Have to buy full decks. Custom decks aren't open to all cards.

The game has a serious issue with RNG and the health system. 90% of my losses are guaranteed due to bad luck, usually a combination of going up against strong teams early and the loss of a full heart. It is possible to lose on turn 4, which is just annoying. Also, it seems like there are several things going on that bias the game against you. The enemy will always attack the character that is least convenient for you, and since they (almost) always go first, you are at a permanent disadvantage.

Highly RNG and you will lose alot, it feels like the game is rigged in fact with bs cards like Hercules which can get so much power and hp that if you're playing against it unless you get really lucky you just loose. The game lets you pick from 1 of three leaders which are also randomized and unbalanced. Avoid this game like the plague.

Until the patch today the game would have been a solid 4.5 getting close to a 5. Captain balance is pretty bad and leans to the new and reworked captains being vastly stronger, but you could unlock everything by playing enough. After today, they introduced a pair reroll token system that allows you to better fish for the captains you want. Except it's $15/20 each set with 3 sets currently and more will always be added, no way to earn them with in game currency.
