The game is fun to play with interesting cards and strategies that get used based on the captain you choose. As far as I can tell you can't always choose the same captain, so you have to wait for them to show up again in a random pool of 3, but otherwise it's alright. I will say while I am playing for free if you spend money it would get decks/cards earned quicker and that can be frustrating at times if you aren't able to win with just the starter decks of each captain.

Soooo addictive......it's like open world TCG.... random captains good idea but would be nice to lock your captain, but I think that's the point and the main reason I like this game

There's an incredible game in here, but the monetization is bad and getting worse. There's a huge power gradient for Captains, but the developers don't seem interested in fixing that. Instead, they introduced $60 worth of tokens that let you reroll captains until you find the good ones. And there's no way to get those except for a real currency transaction. If the monetization strategy changes dramatically, I could see this game being worthwhile again. But, in its current state, give it a miss.

Decided to give this another chance only to see that they've now added pay-to-win character rerolls. Extremely disappointing for what used to be a fair game. Instead of addressing character balance in any meaningful way, they've decided to leverage the unbalance and sell you the solution (more rerolls, so you can get the good ones more often). Those who pay up get more chances to get high-tier characters, and those who don't pay up have to deal with losing to high-tier characters more often.

Used to be good but now just feels gimmicky. Some heroes are just useless, and you are forced to play them as you can't pick the hero you bought and want to play. They just keep adding more cards and diluting the game. It doesn't feel fun when I win and feels bad when I loose. Good for a quick 30-second distraction while on the bus, but I wouldn't waste my time with it.
