Question: Why does OP-mobile ask permissions to use my device's other applications, such as contacts, camera or phone? Answer: Here's why OP-mobile needs permissions, by application:
• Contacts: to get the payee's phone number for a Siirto payment • Location: to locate the nearest branch office and Otto ATM and to provide directions • Phone calls: to enable you to call directly from OP-mobile the customer service numbers of OP's banking and insurance services • Photos/Media/Files: to save receipts of payments and account transactions from OP-mobile to your device • Camera: to scan a bill's barcode • Phone status: because using the Mobile key requires device information.
Question: Why can't I use OP-mobile with the Developer Preview, LineageOS or other unofficial operating systems for Android? Answer: We can only guarantee the app's secure use for officially released Android versions.
Question: Why doesn't fingerprint authentication work in my device? Answer: In some devices, possible shortcomings in fingerprint functionality implementation may prevent enabling fingerprint authentication on OP-mobile.

This app looks great visually, love that it has a dark theme! Easy to use, secure and fast, all settings are in a logical position and the UI / UX is intuitive and doesn't frustrate - this is all in comparison to S-bank application. Due to latest security update, new app version crashes on start with NullPointerException. A lot of older phones are affected. OP states" OP-mobile only works on official operating systems". Time to change the bank.

Used to be totally fine, but then one day decided I had "suspicious apps" not from the play store. And yes, I DO have apps not from the play store! I put them there myself! A bank app should not be able to tell me what I can and cannot install on my own phone. The security argument is nonsense; I still do the banking on my phone in a browser now, it's just far less convenient. And I do banking on my desktop, where I could have literally anything installed!
