Brilliant app. Very useful for getting along the canals as well as finding facilities, shops and transport to and from canal. I'm curious to know what the additional markers are along the K&A at the Crofton flight I.e. /// trombone.liquid.headed and ///uttering.whirlwind.takers? Might be elsewhere in the app but only found these so far! UPDATE: Just followed the link to the developers website and found my answer. 😊

If you deny it access to location it simply stops and comes out of the app. Not sure why it offers an option to deny if it doesn't work when you do deny it. Using a Samsung J3 2017. Not sure why it needs location if you simply want to look at canals across the country. I also can't find a search button. Is there one?

For a free app this is great. Definitely will use again and recommend to anyone hitting the water.

Brilliant, except the zoom often goes runaway and the map twists when I try to zoom.
★★☆☆☆
Very limiting use as a canal map for someone who lives aboard a narrow boat. I find using the menu to open the Google Maps version is much better as you can see what is nearby. Also, lots of water points and elsan points aren't marked, and I still use the Nicholson guides for that.
★★☆☆☆
No route planning? It's just a map at the moment with no options to plan a route. Gives you the option to open Google Maps, but that doesn't route via the canals so pretty pointless
★★☆☆☆
Info on water points, on the Thames, was unreliable - often a water point turned out to either not be there at all or was a tap in a lock that was not usable to fill up with. Lack of route planning was disappointing.
