OpenStack is pleased to present an update to our in-house mobile application for Android.
The following features are now available:
Calendar Synch - Synch your Schedule with your favorite calendar app.
Summit Videos - Once our production team processes videos, they will appear in the summit app for you to watch.
Rate/Rank - Users can now rate and leave feedback for each presentation/panel.
Full Schedule - You can browse the entire Summit Schedule for both Design and Main Summit events, as well as offsite parties and after-hours events. Filter by Track, Venue, Keyword, Level, and Speaker.
My Schedule - Log in using your OpenStack ID and add presentations, keynotes, and parties to your schedule.
Venue Maps - Included in this app you'll find integration with Google Maps as well as custom maps, per venue to make sure you never miss an important presentation.
Caching - Everything in the app is cached, updates will come in the background when you are online and with your approval. If you have problems connecting to the internet, don't worry. All critical features of the app are built to work offline, once your initial app installation is complete.

Better luck next year The app always reset it's state, making it annoying to scroll through so many sessions when looking for the next. MUST have a schedule builder for custom track and schedule. That way I'm not trying to figure out our on the fly.

Strange Design Choices Draining about 10% of my battery while not even being used. Requires an Eventbrite order number to customize a calendar, which seems bizarre. Duplicates filters, like "horizon" and "Horizon", which is confusing. Pressing back from the menu closes the app. Still no way to add your summit to your calendar; you have to add each event individually. Overall, this is still a huge step back from the application used to organize the previous summits.
