To all those concerned that this Tasker plug-in won't work with OpenVPN for Android, the version of that app that presented problems is very much a thing of the past. If you use the current version of OpenVPN for Android (0.6.50 as I write this), you will find that this plug-in works flawlessly with it. I'm using the OpenVPN Tasker Plug-in to bring my Express VPN up and down. Although there's a nice enough official Express VPN app in the Play Store, it doesn't expose any intents for remote use, so there's no way to use Tasker to initiate and tear down a VPN connection. A very nice enhancement of this plug-in would be to allow the user to pass as a Tasker variable to OpenVPN for Android the name of the profile to connect with. This would make it easy to build a profile name from any number of conditions (day/evening, location, etc.) and bring up any one of a dozen profiles with a single line of Tasker code.
