Description by LucasGGamerMT(from Google Play)
Moshidon is a modified version of the official Mastodon Android app adding important features that are missing in the official app, such as the federated timeline, unlisted posting and an image description viewer.
Key features
- Many colors: Brings material you theme and many colorful options for themes! - Filtered posts!: The ability to have filtered posts show with a warning! - Translate button: Brings a translate button! - Toot language picker: Brings in a toot language picker! - Unlisted posting: Post publicly without having your post show up in trends, hashtags or public timelines. - Federated timeline: See all public posts from people on all other Fediverse neighborhoods your home instance is connected to. - Image description viewer: Quickly check whether an image or video has an alt text attached to it. - Pinning posts: Pin your most important posts to your profile and see what others have pinned using the “Pinned“ tab. - Follow hashtags: See new posts from specific hashtags directly in your home timeline by following them. - Answering follow requests: Accept or decline follow requests from your notifications or the dedicated Follow requests list. - Delete and re-draft: The much-loved feature that made editing possible without an actual editing function. - Extras: Brings many extra UI features, such as interaction icons on the Notifications and removing many annoyances with the original UI!

It made Mastodon usable, but Mastodon isn't the best Fediverse software. Would be nice to see better Sharkey support.

Really good client, took me a while to get used to going from the official app but the themes and other extra toggleable features (like displaying pronouns and auto cw-ing posts you reply to) makes it a lot nicer to use! Only complaint is that quote posts don't always display right (Some do, some don't, it seems to depend on how its formatted) and afaik it doesn't seem like you can quote a post in app.

Megalodon led me here. I hope you don't abandon Poseidon. I really prefer it way more than the official Mastodon app. The cute buttons and setting for a color palette won me over. I love it. Honestly deserves more downloads and reviews.

Recent weeks, the app has been throwing "Too many requests" errors randomly, sometimes immediately after I open the app (i.e., before I start engaging with the content). It's a shame, otherwise this has been the best app for Mastodon. UPDATE: new version notes say "Fixed many crashes from" ... from what?

No easy way to block offensive tags from the post. Don't want to get bombarded by weird new tags

Wish I could try it. Login doesn't work. It just opens a browser window with the web interface of my instance, mstdn.ca :(

August 2024: Poseidon runs counter to the core concept of the Fediverse. The authoritarian app developers decide which instances you are allowed to log in to via Poseidon. They are blacklisting instances which express views and options the developer disagrees with. I would give it zero stars, if that was an option.

Not working. It says server name (or something name) cannot be... And I can't open the error to see what needs to be fixed. And Megalodon won't let me post anything now. Not impressed, I don't want to have to go back to Tusky.
