Description
PulsePoint AED is a powerful tool to build, manage and mobilize an emergency AED registry. Registered AEDs are accessible to emergency call takers and disclosed to those nearby during cardiac arrest events.
AEDs are lifesaving devices that automatically diagnose and treat cardiac arrest and are commonly available in offices, airports, schools, businesses and other public places.
The registry grows when PulsePoint AED app users submit the location of unregistered AEDs in their community, making these lifesaving devices easier to find and use when a cardiac emergency strikes. PulsePoint AED also records and displays other lifesaving resources placed at AED locations, including Bleeding Control Kits, Naloxone (e.g., NARCAN®) and Epinephrine (e.g., EpiPen®).
Watch this brief video to see just how easy it is to add an AED to the registry https://vimeo.com/pulsepoint/AED-Android
You can also add an AED to the registry anytime by simply entering aed.new into your browser.
If you are trained in CPR and willing to assist during a nearby cardiac emergency, please consider downloading the companion app, PulsePoint Respond.
Public Safety Agencies The PulsePoint-hosted Emergency AED Registry is integrated with leading emergency medical dispatch (EMD), pre-arrival instruction, and tactical map vendors, including ProQA Paramount, APCO Intellicomm, PowerPhone Total Response, and RapidDeploy Radius. These strategic integrations allow telecommunicators to inform callers of the exact location of registered AEDs within familiar applications and workflows. There is never a charge to use or add to the registry.
PulsePoint AED is an end-to-end FirstNet Certified™ application. FirstNet Certified solutions must demonstrate 99.99% availability and pass independent third-party security, data privacy and performance audits.
PulsePoint is a public 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation. We offer the PulsePoint AED and Respond apps and the Emergency AED Registry as part of our mission to improve cardiac arrest survival. Excellent idea, works wonders...if people are informed. Tell everyone about it, learn CPR & how to use an AED! We need TV, radio & billboards advertising Pulse Point AED & Respond! I mention both before EVERY CPR, BLS, ACLS or PALS class I teach.

Why is it showing an AED at my parents address? Is it because my dad had a heart attack in 2008? I had one in 2015 but was not home was at work.

Excellent app for not only first responders but also the public to locate the nearest AED when needed.

Good app. Easy to use. It would be nice to be able to add locations when you are offline. I don't have data on my phone (I know I am in the minority) so I can add locations when I am connected to Wi-Fi, but I can't add pictures unless I have Wi-Fi where the AED is. It would be useful to be able to add pictures stored on my phone. Thus, if there is no Wi-Fi I can snap a picture of the AED and add it later when I am connected.

Can't scroll past a page, you can't see some activities. Email info pushes the photo and the number of AEDs registered, so you can't see them.

I have to give it low stars right now because i don't know how to search the area for the closest! Sure if I open the map and expand it I can see where they are-add a search button to take you to the closest and allow for navigation directions... This doesn't work like that on my phone. Being AED/CPR certified I can't just pull the app up, throw my phone to a person and say "go get it"

I can't even post photos without it crashing Edit: can take photos now within app but can't upload previous photos
★☆☆☆☆Chanda Mija· Dec 29, 2020
Didn't ask me if it's still there when I pass a previously known location. I would let this app collect my location in background with locked screen and welcome a home screen notification asking for a previously known location verification (with a simple yes/no & photo submission option).

My email verification code says it is invalid, and I keep trying and getting nowhere I will change my review if I get help
