I've tried countless finance apps in recent years. Each of them had a significant limitation of one kind or another. This is the first one that actually does everything I've been looking for: it syncs with ALL my institutions, a polished mobile app, does a really good job of auto-categorizing transactions and makes it very easy to create rules handling transactions to your preferences, easy and intelligent budgeting features, and the ability to give access to your partner. Just brilliant!

The app is very useful to manage cash flow but not so much for tracking investments in Canada. Once Origin syncs up with all the local financial institutions here, we can utilize it fully. Their customer service was kind and patient to help me with the initial set up and put me on the wait list for Canadian investments' portfolio launch.

They don't tell you until you download the app and sign up that they require a subscription to use this app. They really should make this practice illegal. Subscription requirements should be spelled out before you download and create an account.

So far it's still in its infancy stage with features. I'm a previous monarch user and there are so many features that origin is missing it's difficult for me to enjoy the platform. Their development team is receptive to feedback, so I'm hoping that more of its features will be more fleshed out. I'm considering switching back to Monarch. The one pro that I would give is it allows couples to share their info and toggle between one profile and both profiles.
