Ort Raiders: Offline Survival

Ort Raiders is an offline survival game where you are never alone on the island. Rival raiders live there too: they chop trees, haul loot home, build bases, scout yours and come back for your chests. Gather, craft and build a base of your own, raid their camps for better gear, and be ready when they raid you back.

Play offline with no internet needed: a single-player survival game on a living island, where every other player is an AI that plays by the same rules you do.

Survive the island
• Gather wood, stone, metal ore and sulfur across grass, snow and desert
• Hunt deer and boar, fish the shore with bait, grow crops and cook over a campfire
• Keep fed and watered: boil dirty water, fill bottles, build a water catcher
• Days and nights, rain and fog; after dark you see only as far as your own light

Build a base that holds
• Base building on a grid: walls, floors and doors in wood, stone and metal
• Place your totem to choose where you wake after a death
• Keep your loot in chests and boxes, smelt in a furnace, craft at a workbench
• Defend it with turrets, and learn where raiders break in

Raid the raiders
• Rival groups have real bases with real loot in their chests
• Blow stone and metal walls with Breach Charges, burn wood with fire bottles and the flamethrower, throw grenades
• Break a rival totem to take its orts, banked to your account for good
• Hit a base and its group remembers who did it: expect a revenge raid

Rivals that play the game
• AI players gather, craft, build, hunt and fish, and sleep in their beds when they log off
• Their bases grow over the days, from wooden huts to metal walls guarded by rifles
• They act on what they have seen: a base they never scouted, they cannot raid
• Not everyone wants a fight: traders will deal with you, and a rambling stranger drops by now and then

Craft your way up
• Crafting takes you from wooden tools to bows, crossbows, pistols, the SMG, shotguns and rifles
• Learn new recipes from manuals, smelt metal, make gunpowder from sulfur
• Wrecks wash up on the beach with parts and a manual: race the rival groups to them

Explore a new island every server
• Rivers, lakes and fords, ruins to clear, and worn trails that show where everyone walks
• Paddle a raft out to the tribal islands, each with a tribe of its own, coffee and wild bees
• A safe zone at the centre with a bounty board, treasure maps to dig up, a fishing derby and a curator whose curios unlock costumes

Servers that wipe
• Join a server of 25 to 100 players, every one of them AI, or start your own and choose its size and how large groups may grow
• Each server wipes after 30 in-game days: the sea rolls in, the orts you hold are banked, and a fresh island waits
• Spend banked orts on traits that carry over to every new server
• Pixel art, top-down, built for touch with aim assist
