OrthoRad - die Referenzdatenbank zur Skelettradiographie OrthoRad dient als Offline-Referenz(bild)datenbank für Skelettradiographie sowohl MTRs als auch Ärzten in der täglichen Routine.

Der Bedarf an Referenzbilddatenbanken im Bereich der Handhelds wird aus Gründen der Praktikabilität und zunehmender Befundung an digitalen Arbeitsplätzen immer größer. Vorteile derartiger Datenbanken lassen sich z. B. in der Projektionsradiographie und in der Schnittbilddiagnostik erwarten. Mit dem OrthoRad-Programm sollte eine Referenzdatenbank der traumatologischen Skelettradiographie aufgebaut werden. Material und Methoden: Im Laufe eines Jahres wurden die wichtigsten Standardeinstellungen und Spezialaufnahmen der Skelettradiographie junger, gesunder Erwachsener gesammelt und nach fachärztlicher Begutachtung für die OrthoRad-Datenbank freigegeben. Am Workflow von MTRs und Ärzten orientiert, wurde das gesammelte Bildmaterial, geordnet nach Körperregionen, unter OrthoRad organisiert. Während den MTRs u. a. Informationen zu Lagerung und Kassettenformat zur Verfügung stehen, erhält der Arzt wichtige Informationen zur Röntgenanatomie, Referenzdaten zum menschlichen Skelett und Hinweise zu häufigen traumatologischen und orthopädischen Krankheitsbildern.
