Our app offers fitness challenges which users can join and integrates with Google’s Health Connect to collect user's calories burned, distance walked/ran and steps climbed.

Our app will analyze the daily exercise data of users in Health Connect to calculate their progress and determine whether they have completed a fitness challenge. The challenge includes the distance covered, the number of steps taken, and the total calories burned by the user. Users can receive these challenges on the homepage, and when they accept a challenge, a prompt will appear requesting authorization to access Health Connect. We will request permission for Distance Record, Steps Record, and Total Calories Burned Record in minimum scope to fulfill the functionality of our app. Once we obtain this data, we will display the corresponding exercise data and progress in the app, as well as update the server's progress. When the user's exercise meets the target value of the challenge, we will indicate that the challenge has been completed.
