Android REVEL V+5g I was scared to install this software, when I saw all the negative reviews. I decide to give it a try on my cheap Chinese made Endoscope. (The instructions referred me to websites that were in Chinese!) So far, this app has worked perfectly without ads. Simple to use, straightforward navigation, and very simplistic. This is all that I needed. My phone warned me this was an unauthorized application, however all went well.

Works well on android 15 with a generic chinese endoscope camera. I had to give the app permissions before it could display the image. The permissions prompt goes away if you plug in the camera, so you need to restart the app to get the prompt back.

Perfect. It works with a generic AliExpress USB camera on a OnePlus8. The video is stretched to the size of the screen even if the sensor is 4:3 thank you very much, it's great

Forces the phone into landscape mode with no way to rotate it and the settings icon is behind the bottom navigation bar, making it impossible to open the settings. Any time I try, it just clicks the navigation icon, instead.

Update 5/2026,(doesn't) Works well with Vividia Able scope VA-800. Almost unusable now on Pixel 9 Pro. New popup ads sit right in the middle of the screen with no discernible x or any way of getting rid. Can't see actual screen. Also controls for taking a picture etc. is behind the Pixel controls for back, menu etc. So forget using those. No matter what permissions set, app switches off after a minute or so forcing a restart. Now using app USB endoscope which does not have issues with Android 10+

Well that was stupid.... to anyone wondering why it doesn't work. Return your product, the mobile USB-C adapter is faulty, the device works. Having replaced the adapter the image works, or you can use the camera app on your laptop via USB A (ie not using the supplied adapter). Either way the OTC View app is basic, awkward to use on your mobile, full of ads, difficult to quit out of, and a real pain to use.
