Pulse Motion Forge asks you to do two things at once with one thumb, and it does not slow down while you work out how.

At the bottom of the screen is a cup. Drag anywhere along the bottom and it follows your finger left and right. Tap and it switches to the next color in the cycle. That is the entire control scheme, and the two gestures are separated on purpose: a quick horizontal slide will not recolor the cup, and a tap in place will not shift it.

The reason this is hard is that both have to be right at the same instant. The cup has to be under the ball, and the cup has to be the ball's color. Either one alone gets you nothing.


Balls come in at the top and fall into a field of pegs. Every peg they touch kicks them sideways, so a ball that started above the left edge can leave the field anywhere. Gravity keeps building, which means your reading time shrinks the closer it gets, and the last peg is still allowed to ruin a prediction you made two seconds ago.

So you watch, you move early, and then you keep adjusting. Meanwhile you are counting how many taps it takes to get from the color you are holding to the color that is falling, and you are trying to finish those taps without stopping the drag.


The ball lands in a cup of the same color, and you score. Your streak grows, and a longer streak pays more per ball, so good runs accelerate and bad runs stall.

The ball lands in a cup of the wrong color, and you lose a life. The streak drops to zero and everything it was worth goes with it. This is the mistake that stings: you did the hard part, you were in exactly the right place, and the cup was the wrong color.

The ball goes past the cup entirely, and you lose a life. Being the right color is no help if you are not there.

There are no levels to clear. The game just tightens: balls fall faster, the pause between them gets shorter, and eventually two are on the board at once and you have to decide which one you can still reach. The peg layout shifts as well, so the drift you had started to predict stops behaving.


Each color has a shape of its own, shown on the balls and on the cup. Anyone who finds colors hard to separate can play on shapes instead, with no change to how the game works.


The result screen gives you the final score and your best, the number of balls you caught, the number you missed, the number you caught in the wrong color, your longest streak and the top speed the run reached. A new record gets its own moment. The best score is stored locally on your device.

Pause stops the physics completely rather than leaving things drifting, and brings you back in with a countdown.
