OverPen: Draw on Screen

OverPen is a screen pen for Android. Draw on screen, write and annotate on top of any app: mark up a YouTube video while it plays, write over a PDF, teach an online lesson, point things out in a presentation or solve a question right on the screen. When you are done, clear it in one tap and carry on. Tap Use Screen to use the app underneath.

PENS AND COLOURS
• Fountain, calligraphy, normal and pencil pens, each with solid, dashed or dotted lines
• Highlighter and a fading laser pointer in one colour or rainbow, with an adjustable trail time
• More than 4,000 ready colour palettes: tap refresh for a new set, or pick any colour from the spectrum or a HEX code
• My pens: save your favourite pen, colour and width and switch with one tap
• Pressure-sensitive pen for active styluses; hold the stylus side button to erase
• A hover ring shows where the pen will touch before it does

SHAPES, SELECTION AND EDITING
• Line, arrow, double arrow, rectangle, circle, triangle and star
• Hold at the end of a stroke to straighten it or turn it into a clean shape; angles snap to 15°
• Lasso: circle your ink to move, duplicate or delete it
• Eraser, stroke eraser and clear all, with undo and redo

PAPER, RULER AND NOTEBOOK
Lay paper over the screen when you need a clean page: blank, lined or grid, and with Premium also dotted, narrow lined, Cornell, isometric and music paper. Place the ruler anywhere: move it with one finger, rotate it with two (it snaps to 15° and shows the angle), and start your pen at its edge for a perfectly straight line. Save pages to your notebook and open one to edit it full screen inside the notebook with pen, highlighter and eraser, then save over the same page. Select several pages at once, share them as PDF or PNG or save PDFs to a folder you choose, such as Drive or OneDrive. Deleted pages wait 30 days in the recycle bin.

YOUR TOOLBAR, YOUR THEME
Choose your toolbar tools, as many as you like, and arrange them. Move the toolbar to any screen edge, lock it in place, turn it vertical or horizontal, pick a compact size or let it shrink by itself when you stop drawing. Give OverPen your look with a theme: 5 free themes, 3 more with Premium, or create your own from your colours.

DRAW AND TAKE NOTES WITH A FRIEND
Write on the same page from two devices in real time: for a lesson, a meeting or homework. Create a room and share the code; the host approves who joins. Only strokes are shared, never your screen, video or sound. Joining is free; hosting a room needs Premium. An internet connection is needed only for this.

PRIVACY
No ads, no account, no analytics. Drawing on your own works offline. OverPen uses Android's "display over other apps" permission only to show the drawing layer. Start it with one tap from Quick Settings; stop it any time from the app, the notification or Quick Settings.
