Paddock Analog Watch Face

Paddock is a racing instrument for the wrist. Four equal discs at twelve, three, six and nine, offset speedway rails running around them, and tapered baton hands over the top. No borrowed crowns and no borrowed names.

Three controls, twenty-seven faces
Most racing dials hand you a finished style and let you pick which one. This one hands you three controls and lets you build it.
Dial finish: carbon black, pit navy, warm ivory.
Subdial treatment: machined rings, solid instruments, open scales.
Hand accent: signal cyan, copper, grid lime.
Each moves only its own layer. Take the ivory dial without being handed a warm accent along with it. Put lime hands on the carbon dial. Three by three by three is twenty-seven finished faces, and every one of them is one you composed.

Four complications, and what each one takes
The four discs are complication slots, all the same size, so none of them is the important one. Each accepts short text, a ranged value, a monochromatic icon or a small image. A ranged provider is accepted and drawn as its number - there is no progress ring on this dial, and this listing will not promise you one.
Out of the box: the date above, steps to the left, watch battery to the right, heart rate below. Every one of the four is yours to reassign on the watch.

Four app shortcuts, on the diagonals
Between the discs sit four small round slots, one per diagonal. Each takes a small image or a monochromatic icon and draws the app's own icon, so what you see and what you tap agree. They arrive empty; point each one at whatever you open most.

Choose Empty and it leaves the dial
Not greyed out, not an outline, not a placeholder ring. The whole element goes - frame, ticks, reading, icon - and the dial underneath carries no reserved plate where it used to be. That holds for all eight, the four discs and the four shortcuts alike. Switch them all off and you have the instrument as it was drawn.

The icon is the one your app draws
There is no drawn icon anywhere on this face. Each disc shows the assigned provider's own glyph below the reading, so a slot you reassign never keeps the old picture. A heart never sits over a temperature here.

Always-on
The hour marks and the hour and minute hands stay lit. The discs and the second hand go dark. Measured at just over two per cent of the screen lit.

If you assign a weather complication
Paddock reads no weather of its own; whichever app you assign supplies it. Wear OS does not grant watch faces location access by default, so a weather complication can sit blank until you allow it: Settings > Security and privacy > Permission manager > Location > Watch faces > Allow while using the app. Everything else - the time, the date, the steps, the battery, the heart rate and the always-on screen - works the moment you install it.

Requires Wear OS 5 or newer. No account, no ads, no subscription, no companion app to install. One purchase and it is yours.
