You can also use the Rock Locator Map to find Painted Rock Gardens where rock creators have hidden dozens, sometimes even hundreds of painted rocks for others to find or exchange.

When I first heard about the Painted Rocks App, I loved the concept as it combined elements of geocaching with painted rocks. Utilizing stickers you can buy (or you can just write it on the rock yourself), you log painted rocks into the app and hide it like geocaches. To make sure finds are legit, rocks are assigned codes for finds, movement, or collection. The only issue I have is the lack of support. Also, app doesn't work with newer phones. Might change now that Geocaching Vlogger hyped it.

Very cool. I love how it is trackable and the way the app is built! The only negatives are is that the app sometimes bugs, and the community is too niche. Currently, hiding rocks around to get my community interested, but there are almost no rocks near me. Five stars if it was more popular!

Great app! Would love to see this app grow, I'll have to share it in the rock painting groups I'm in to try and get more people to join and use this app. I think this is a great idea, and painting rocks is so much fun!!

Very slow app. Only 1 painted rock in the whole of the UK so far. Not sure it's worth the bother unless hundreds of people adopt this app.

This would be a great app, but it crashes a lot. Sucks putting in all the information, and then it crashes over and over and over again. It also would be nice that the person who finds a painted rock be able to post it without having to download the app. They could just post it on the website.
