Snap drop, on its own, used to work great, and I'd have given it 5/5. However, since it changed to 'Pairdrop' it's a 2/5 at best. Since changing, when I transfer multiple files they get put into a .zip file. When I go to move those files from the .zip file to where I want them, it transfers one file then comes up with an error message. This has happened every time since the change. They only way it works now is by way of individual transfer...

Acquired by Lime wire. The file transfer now requires you to sign in, then upload your files to a cloud. It now has a useless AI feature and credits. Took a seamless, simple to use direct device to devise file transfer service and turned into a cheap, money grab that stores your files into a cloud share, forcing subscriptions for change requests. If I wanted to have a cloud transfer I'd just use Dropbox, at least then I know it's secure. This is antithetical to what Snap drop was to begin with.

This was great! Used it regularly for many months...then one day became unusable, as desktop side became incapable of connecting to other devices, due to ... desktop side being changed with Lime wire banner too!? Uninstalling and using the great Local Send. One extra star, as it was great, and maybe fixed in time.
