Overall a very good paper manager (migrated from Mandela). Highlights and pen marks made in android sometimes get lost, if opening the same file on the PC. Using a samsung tab s7.

I have been recommending Paper pile non-stop to all my colleagues and students. It is by far the best PDF management system I have used. I download the app on my tablet and am so happy reading all my papers so easily. Seamless from computer to laptop to phone.

I've used the web app almost since the beginning (5 years) and it's the best app hands down for a) stirring pdfs, b) highlighting, and c) citing references within both Google Docs AND Microsoft Word. Also importing from Google Scholar (both PDF and ref) is super easy. Plus the folks there are really nice and respond almost immediately to questions. My only big feature request would be to have true note-taking that is separate (and had its own window) from highlighting.

Syncs library fine, but crashes whenever papers are added in-app or when trying to download PDFs. Android 12, Galaxy S21 Ultra

I started the free trial hoping to use this for my lab. Set up my library on the browser/laptop. Then tried to use the apps. But the apps for Android and iOS don't seem to work for downloading papers. I've tried on my phone (Google Pixel) and on my husband iPad. Same issue. I set up the proxy for my institution but when I click "download" on papers it asks if I want to sync, I say yes, but then nothing happens and the PDFs never download. Going to find another solution and sad I wasted the time

The web version is great, but the Android app is so bad. If you cannot develop a nice app, just allow the users to use the web on their android devices. Currently, it forces the users to install the app. I would rather save the webpage as a chrome shortcut on my home screen, then deal with the app. The sync feature is very bad. I find it super irritating. You read a research paper, highlight things on it and close the app, it doesn't save any of the highlighted content! I mean seriously!!!
