The story is 10/10 it reminds me of the anime, parasite. I love the characters so far but the story being interrupted by the gameplay loop is kind of annoying. I personally don't care about the game at all, and I just want the story itself. I agree with everyone else that if this was an anime I would binge the hell out of it. For what it is the cutscenes are very good even for not being fully animated. I suggest this if you are bored and looking for something to take your attention for a bit.

Alright, hear me out. The actual *game* portion of Paranoize stinks. It's a below average idle battler/base builder/Dungeon Fighter, with the worst SSR character pull rates and gem bundle prices ever seen. Nothing about this game is enjoyable. But the visual novel portion of the game keeps pulling me in. I will never spend money on this game, because all I'll probably get are a bunch of Rs and an SSR support memory, but I will play just enough to keep watching the story unfold.

The story itself is nice but the gacha is among the worst I've ever seen. Pity is like 500 pulls, and they split paid gems with gameplay gems meaning some banners require real money. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Honestly, an egregious cash grabm it's getting good reviews because of the story, but the game attached to it is absolutely terrible, there's no real gameplay and no decision-making. The game plays itself trying to funnel you into spending. Don't play this.

The story is great but this "game" greatly suffers from a lack of things to do. You basically watch the anime, buy their gems, don't get the ssr character instead get a memory for them (talk about a bloated gacha system), hold down one button to upgrade your town then leave. If you just watch Crunchyroll you get the same experience without the microtransactions because there is no game.
