Do you know that in Paris you can free park your car in some streets ?! Paris Free Park shows you these free coveted car parks around you or by browsing the map !
Streets displayed are the one where car parks are considered as "rotatif mixte". These car parks are free during the entire month of August, and on Saturdays, Sundays and all public holidays the rest of the year.
This system also allows "residential" parking (See Paris website for more information).
This information can be verified on the park meters, in particular when they have a yellow point.
Paris Free Park is based on public open data of Paris (Open Data) dated from August 2012, provided under ODbL (Open Database License) license : http://opendata.paris.fr/opendata/jsp/site/Portal.jsp?page_id=10
Edit : parking on "rotatif mixte" (yellow point) car parks is now not free during month of August nor Saturdays since a new regulation put in place begining of 2015. It still free on Sundays & bank holidays as anywhere else. The application lets now find these "residential" car parks, generally free when there are pollution peaks (see government annouce).

Tried it for a few streets on a Saturday. I did not find any places on Rue du roule that seemed legal, also tried another Street. There where some delivery zones, no idea if a secret rule makes them legal on Saturdays. In general it seems only pay parking exists on Saturdays until 20:00. Park outside of Paris city limits like in one of the big parks. This is free on Saturdays but not on week days. Like Bois de Boulogne.
