This game is free to try and a total blast. The game offers a great level of customization and progression. The music and art is great too. It's free to try because basically once you finish the tutorial you can play one short campaign with the two free characters but after that you'll need to buy campaigns and other characters. A nice feature is you can link your account to the iOS and Steam versions of the game and all your progress and purchases will sync across all platforms.

I can not rate this game any higher for my device. I'm playing on an android phone, and I cannot buy any basic characters. The only way to purchase a character is a 3 dollar purchase that comes with that character's alternate outfit. When attempting to purchase a basic character individually, I am prompted; "purchase not available on this device". This of course doesn't happen when purchasing with real money, only in game currency. The tutorial recommends an additional character you cannot get.

Don't spend money on treasure chests. The drop rates are atrocious or bugged. The chests are heavily skewed towards lower adventure decks, and you are lucky if you get more than 1 legendary for every 100 chests you open. Duplicate legendarily are also possible. You can also still get dice from chests even if you buy the dice pack. The extra character bundles are still $29.99 for me as well, while individual characters are $1.99.
