Video game fans know that "roguelike" can mean two very different things. There are the rogue likes that we have been playing on the computer since the late 80s (games like Rogue). Then there is "roguelike" as a marketing buzzword that really just describes dime-a-dozen Diablo 2 clones for boomers. Pathos is the former, through and through. But with the accessibility of the latter. So, it can be played on your little phone without making your eyes bleed.

The game gives you a ton of freedom in terms of character creation, but dying because an undetectable trapdoor yeets you down to level 20 randomly is very unfun. Also, the "RPG mode" has places that are very laggy, like the castle past the skeleton room in the area to the right of the shop.

It is extremely buggy. The game will suddenly force closed or crash after entering the second floor or next floor. It unfortunately didn't save my progress. Additionally, it stutters quite a lot for this type of game.

This feels very much like a Love it or Hate it kind of game and, I'm sure that there are a niche few who are loving it greatly. Sadly, I'm not one of those people and the 5 or 10 minutes I spent on this were enough to make me want to immediately uninstall.
