Affrontare l'emergenza pediatrica è una situazione molto complessa per qualunque tipo di soccorritore, sanitario e non sanitario, questo perché le caratteristiche dei bambini sono estremamente peculiari non solo da un punto di vista della fisiopatologia, della valutazione clinica e della rapida evoluzione in senso peggiorativo ma anche per la pronta risposta a un intervento che sia estremamente rapido e precoce.
È fondamentale il ruolo che ognuno di noi può svolgere nel caso in cui si trovi di fronte a un bambino o lattante che ha una o più funzioni vitali compromesse.
Le manovre necessarie per intervenire sono quelle che caratterizzano il nostro corso. L'obiettivo principale è la prevenzione del danno cerebrale e del danno cardiaco conseguente a un arresto respiratorio; questo obiettivo si raggiunge attraverso l'alternanza di valutazioni e azioni con cui si supporta la funzione cardiaca e quella respiratoria in attesa dell'arrivo del soccorso avanzato.
Attenzione: questa versione "lite" necessita di un collegamento a Internet attivo per poter essere utilizzata.
