Comments on PeakFinder for Android

★★★★★ I live in Alaska, surrounded by mountains, and it's nice to know the names of them.... Even the smaller hills etc. I especially like the altitude and fly there mode, seeing things from ground to 65000 feet + is great, especially up here. Thank you, I enjoy the app.
★★★★★ I love this app, because I love to know all the peaks that surround me, not only when I am hiking...and this app let me know even some hills in the countryside!
★★★★★ Peak finder is the perfect app for knowing the surrounding hills, leading you on to more and more hikes!
★★★★★ Fun & easy to use. Also like the Sun tracking feature. Update: I've found that not everything that looks like a mountain has a peak. Or at least not every hill has a name. Only the famous & really tall ones have names listed in this app. But I still like it a lot.
★★☆☆☆ It seems to only recognize the mountains around Denali. We were in Homer and tried the Kenji Peninsula, but it doesn't recognize thar there are mountains there at all. When I do a 360 I can still "see" the Denali Mountains. It is cool for the Denali area, but we didn't get the app until we left. So fairly useless other than thar from what I can tell.
★★☆☆☆ Nice idea of an app. Unfortunately, it's unusable: 1) impossible to adjust the peak outline on landscape photos, because the movement controle are inverted. 2) won't import location data on pictures when that data is definitely there. 3) won't show mountains right on front of you.
★★☆☆☆ Great application unfortunately currently unable to open the app on the new pixel 8 pro.
★★☆☆☆ Went for a Backpack in the ADK region of New York. Hiked to the top of Donaldson mountain and wanted to find and Climb Emmons. When I used peak finder it showed Donaldson due North at about one mile away while standing on top of Donaldson. This is unbelievable. Placed viewfinder on Emmons, and it didn't even register!! So far this App to me is totally useless and if used I would have gone on a wild goose chase. It should be used for Novelty purposes only. All Trails app is best.
