It works exactly as intended, and it's to stop people sharing passwords especially with students. Some of these review bombs don't make sense. "I deleted the app to make space" it's a very small app and as it's an authentication they need to make sure only one person device otherwise again password sharing can occur. Once it's set up it's very easy. If you lose your phone you can email them asking to reset everything.

I have changed my phone and now cannot get a QR code to authenticate my desk top. I cannot access my allocations on gateway and had to ask my team leader to email me a copy of the paper and mark scheme. Support told me they had reset my account, but I have no idea where to get the QR code from that will allow me to authenticate. I fully understand the reasons why this has been introduced, but they have obviously not through what will happen when devices are changed.

Quite literally the worst app I have ever used. Customer support is worse than useless. After changing my phone I have been locked out of Pearson services which has hindered my work. Spent 45 minutes plus on a chat to get access only to be told I'd have to call back for help as they, the customer support, couldn't help me. Absolute joke! Why don't you allow users to register new devices more easily rather than putting us through the torture of your customer (non)support?!

This app is literally pointless. Why must I install a special Pearson Authenticator app when I already have an existing 2FA app for everything else?
