על מנת לבצע התאמה מיטבית של תהליך גיבוי ושחזור בין מכשירים שונים, השירות עושה שימוש במספר הסידורי של מכשירך (IMEI) ובמספר ה IMSI של כרטיס הסים. מספר IMEI נשמר בשרתי פלאפון ולא מועבר לכל צד שלישי כלשהו. מספר IMSI לא נשמר בשרתי פלאפון ולא מועבר לכל צד שלישי כלשהו.
