Pentane Gas

Pentane Gas is a fast, tactile arcade game set inside a chemistry fume hood.

A flask of pentane boils at the bottom of your screen, releasing streams of vapor bubbles. Drag the glowing frost coil anywhere you like and catch the cyan pentane bubbles to condense them into pure liquid product. Every drop flies into your product gauge, filling it toward a completed batch.

But the vapor stream is never clean. Purple impurity bubbles drift up with the good vapor, and condensing even a few of them will spoil the whole batch. Meanwhile, every pentane bubble that escapes over the top edge drains your purity meter. Let purity hit zero and the batch vents away into the hood.

Simple to pick up, tense to master:

- One-finger drag control, the coil glides smoothly under your touch
- Rising difficulty as the flask boils harder and impurities multiply
- Purity and spoilage meters that punish sloppy technique
- Earn coins from every condensed drop, win or lose
- Spend coins in the Workshop on four upgrade lines: a wider Frost Coil, a Vapor Baffle that slows impurities, Spare Seals for extra tolerance, and a Vent Filter that softens purity loss
- Best score tracking, sound effects synthesized in real time, optional vibration
- No ads, no accounts, just you and the vapor

Can you bottle a perfect batch of pentane?
