I've compared hundreds of AI prompts in Perplexity with Gemini Pro as chosen model with the same prompt in the Gemini App. Outcome: The answers of Perplexity were degradet a lot vs the direct answer of Gemini. Also continued testing with auto selection etc. Overall I'm not satisfied with the quality of the answers and will not continue using Perplexity after the PayPal Promo

Make no mistake, this app is significantly worse than the individual models it uses. They saved massively on context windows/tokens. It can't even remember the same conversation in the same thread from 10 messages ago. A lot of random hallucinations or language mix-ups as well. You get what you pay for - my recommendation is a proper claude or gemini subscription P.s.: Also don't try to use the inbuilt model. It's so incredibly bad it will get even the very simplest of prompts completely wrong.
