Phoenix natively supports Lightning for fast and cheap transactions. It's easy, you don't have to do anything: Lightning channels are automatically created by the wallet when needed and you can check their status on Bitcoin explorers.
Phoenix is also self-custodial: you (and only you) have control of the key of the wallet. Backup the key, and make sure to keep it safe!

Used it to receive and store 2282 Sat for 5 years via an LN channel. Successfully transferred them out of Phoenix wallet just now! After waiting for 4 more months for the miners to close the channel. When they didn't do that, I had the option to reddem my Sats myself. Have them back in use, not leaving those precious Sats in the barn... Nice work!

It's supposed to automatically manage channels and make the lightning wallet process easier, but it doesn't do it effectively. I made one successful transaction and Every time after that a bug occurred that required me to contact support. Lastly when giving up and closing all channels my funds got sent with zero fees with no option to add fees, which means consequently my funds are stuck with no confirmations and won't send.

Sent two payments into wallet. Total Cost 7500 sats. Would have been much cheaper to buy a voucher through the Bitcoin network. I thought lightning was meant to be the cheap payment network. Did not think adding payment do an already open channel would be an additional large fee.

ACING raped me to the tune of 0.4% to send my entire Phoenix balance to my Core Lightning node ahead of Phoenix being discontinued for U.S. users. That's for a native Lightning transaction, no blockchain footprint at all! ACING are taking advantage of users, especially since it is not clear that the U.S. DOJ will even pursue Lightning wallets. This is the last straw for me with ACING. I love their technology, but their fees have always been borderline outrageous, and this latest takes the cake.
