Excellent! Just tried Phonos Ultimate one year in. For a recent app, it's great! Thank you! As an early Sonos adopter, I was very happy with devices & apps for years. Then stuff started not working quite right. Then, the 2025 'great app update' broke everything as Sonos went into denial on steroids, blaming everything on users' Wi-Fi, which hadn't changed a bit. Phonos Ultimate' UI is clear, & easy. Controls that were broken for years now work. So the UI is 'ugly'? Why is that even important?

I've never been this happy to drop $5. Works the way the Sonos mobile app USED TO work - playlists play, I can edit them, and the units don't randomly disconnect while playing music. Oh, and the volume works on-demand, instead of requiring multiple attempts.

Two things that I find deficient in the sonos app these addresses. It shows the track quality. I use pocket cast for podcast and if you start a part listened podcast on the sonos app it starts it from the beginning again. Additionally, it seems to be benign in play list creation, adding the podcast to the list of music rather than creating an entire new list. I have a reasonable local music library so having the jump to letter feature will be a massive time saver.

This app is a godsend especially during this time when the Sonos app is in a horrendous state. This app is snappy and smooth when it comes to playing, pausing, skipping, and adjusting volume, it makes me actually want to use my Sonos speakers. The Sonos app has you hit a single button and then wait for so long for the app and your devices to respond it has you thinking it will never work but from now on I don't need to worry because this app has solved those problems. A+++

I got this app specifically to find existing speakers on the network, but it wasn't able to do that, so it was a complete waste of money.

Doesn't solve the issue of streaming podcasts from Spotify, heart, etc. That was one and only reason for buying this. I uninstalled as the native S1 app works better for everything else for me.
