Photo Mate (Legacy)

★★★★★ Great app and programmer! I started off hating this app and others I tried. Since then I've learned that most of my problems related to 2 things. 1) my Android inexperience 2) some faults with my Android tablet. I've been using Photo Mate for 2 weeks now and the developer helped me understand how Andoid works so I could make use of it. Not only that, he listened carefully to a 'wish list' I had and actually modified the program to accomodate what I was seeking. He did this while studying for upcoming exams yet! I've never had that level of service and commitment from any program source and I can't say enough good things about Thorsten and his program. I am now able to shoot with my Nikon and Fuji cameras, wirelessly transfer the images to my tablet and have them immediately appear in Photo Mate where I can view them and most importantly "rate" them. Then I can filter the photos to isolate those of a specified rating and transfer those into my main Windows7 PC ...directly into Lightroom where I can batch rate them to match what they have in Photo Mate. This is a huge timesaver for my photography workflow and I highly recommend this program to professional and amateur photographers alike.

★★☆☆☆ Pretty fantastic It's not actually converting raw files, it's extracting the embedded JPEG. That means I cannot get a full size file out of my older Canons. It's slow as molasses even on my NVIDIA Tegra 3 Quad Core and produces an unusable quality JPEG. Not cool.

★★☆☆☆ Does NOT convert! It does not convert raw to jpeg! It just extracts embedded jpeg, if you have it in raw (I didn't). Without embedded jpeg this app cann't convert, can't even display fullsize image. Wrong app description. Waste of money!!!
