Comments on PhotoSync – Transfer Photos for Android

★★★★★ Chuck Fontaine · Sep 29, 2026

Love this app. Does exactly what I want: check the contents of the NEW photos' folder on my Android phones at a specific time of day then send them to a backup folder on my NAS. Oh, and notify me on the phone that it did this. Thanks, Helmut! Great app.

★★★★★ Koen Szczepanski · Dec 14, 2025

Just works, come home connect to Wi-Fi and backup photos to nas. Perfect solution for me.

★★★★★ Dániel Tomek · Jun 15, 2026

For the life of me I can't get the service stay running for more than a day. I manually have to restart it all the time to actually sync my photos... probably and android issue edit: based on dev reply it's an android issue

★★★★★ Aron · Sep 17, 2026

I've been using Photosync for years to easily transfer photos over Wi-Fi. This is the best app I've found and has worked seamlessly. Recently, I encountered a minor issue with using the app to delete the photos after the transfer. I reported this to the developer and received a response very quickly. A fix was immediately applied to the beta and was available for testing. I was extremely impressed with the support and highly recommend Photosync with the autotransfer add-on.

Update: I found the free app Folder Sync that actually works to sync my photos to my home nas smb share. The Free version of this app basically does nothing. Whenever you try to do anything in the app it wants you to sign up for a 7-day free trial. Immediate uninstallation. I recommend using Folder Sync instead.

Try to transfer photos to my MacBook and told I have no Internet connection when I know for a fact that I do have a connection!!!! Plus no wire to wire transfer option 😕

★☆☆☆☆ Ian Ankers · Mar 23, 2026

I have problems trying to connect to my pc from my android phone. Then it suggests I connect manually, that doesn't work either. After several attempts it does connect! My PC Internet is set to discoverable, so I can't understand what the solution is.

Really bad experience. Bought the bundle for Dropbox upload in mind. Not able to transfer files from phone to Dropbox at all. Even after linking the Dropbox
