Pi Player is a light, fast video player for the videos already on your phone.
Swipe up to the next clip short-form style, hold the screen for 2x speed, and pick up right where you left off.

• Swipe up for the next video, down for the previous one
• Choose continuous play, repeat one, or play once

⚡ Gestures that feel natural
• Hold anywhere to play at 2x while your finger is down (0.5x to 5x)
• Double-tap the left or right side to skip back or forward 10 seconds (5, 10, 15 or 30)
• Double-tap the center to favorite a video with a heart
• Tap once for playback controls and a seek bar

⏯ Resume where you left off
• Your position is saved automatically, even after closing the app
• Red progress bars in the gallery show how far you got

💬 Subtitles, automatically
• SRT and VTT files with the same name as the video load on their own (e.g. movie.en.srt)
• Older encodings such as Korean EUC-KR display without garbled text

🏷 Organize with tags and folders
• Tag any video, then filter by tag, folder or favorites
• Search by file name or tag; sort by newest, oldest or favorites
• Show only the folders you choose, or browse folders directly
• Add a note to any video, with tappable links

📱 Comfortable viewing
• Landscape videos turn the screen sideways automatically
• "Keep UI upright" rotates only the video while the app stays portrait
• Picture-in-picture to keep watching in a small window
• Dark mode, 15 languages and tablet layouts

🔒 Private by design
• No account, no sign-in, and your videos never leave your phone
• Plays offline, no internet needed
• Asks only for photo and video read access

• 🔀 Shuffle: swiping moves at random through all files; swiping back returns to the last one
• ▶️ Reopening the app resumes where you left off (can be turned off in Settings)
• 📂 Switch between all files and folder view in the gallery
