Castro is wonderful. It has been a great joy to join this community of Astrophotography! Being able to share high resolution images and discuss the aspects of this hobby with people from around the world is fantastic! The developers listen to members to improve the app and make the improvements! If you are interested in Astrophotography, Castro is the app for you!

Developers locked down the app, so you cannot have Developer Mode, Rooting, etc. anymore with the most recent update. They claim that Dev Mode is no longer necessary because the app is "92% faster" and shouldn't need to change animation speed in dev mode. I noticed little to no change on this claim. Go figure when phone animation speed has no effect on apps anyway. It's a great app for Astro, but a very disappointing change for things on Android. No, I'm not turning it off for one app, sorry.

Borderline insulting. 2 + years of hype and first time I downloaded this app I was hit with a pay wall, I instantly uninstalled. I can upload images for free on other platforms. I saw a post for a free trial which I thought was great as the feedback suggests this is what the users want.... 2 hours, that's your trial. Again I've uninstalled the app, I'll stick to insta and Facebook.

This is a monthly subscription app. No where does it mention that until AFTER you already registered and tried to sign in. Cool. Now he has my email address for free. Speaking of free... No option to even try the platform for free. You must pay to play. App uninstalled.

2 years in the making, and then it tries to charge you £50 per year without even seeing what is on there. The owner of the app is very passive-aggressive and is unable to take criticism. He sees it as a direct attack on his person. I would steer clear if I were you and don't waste your time. Owner is only interested in making money from his "hobby"
