PillCheck: Pill Photo Lookup

Found a loose pill and can't remember what it is? Check it with one photo.
PillCheck finds the pills in your photo, suggests similar medicines, and explains Korea's DUR (Drug Utilization Review) warnings in plain words. It is a reference tool for medicines sold in South Korea.

■ What it does
• Several pills, one photo: finds every pill in the picture and shows each one.
• Three clear results: "Identified" only when the evidence agrees, "Needs your choice" with candidates when similar pills exist, and "Not recognized" when it isn't sure — then it does not name a drug.
• Compare with the official photo: see your photo next to the official pill photo and check it yourself.
• Scan the other side: if the front is not enough, photograph the back of the same pill.
• DUR in plain words: drug combinations to avoid, pregnancy, age and elderly warnings and more, including whether pills in the same photo should not be taken together. When nothing is listed, it says "no warnings are registered", not "safe".
• Drug details: product name, maker, ingredients and strength, with links to the official efficacy and dosage documents.
• History on your device only. No account needed.
• Five languages: Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional).

■ Tips for a good photo
• Put the pills on a dark, plain surface (black paper or cloth).
• Hold the phone flat, right above the pills, close enough to read the imprint.
• Use bright, even light and avoid glare and strong shadows.

■ Good to know
• Trained on 4,519 oral medicines from AI Hub's public dataset. Medicines outside this list are not named.
• Results from phone photos can change with light and angle.
• PillCheck is not a medical device and does not replace diagnosis, prescription or dosing decisions. Always check with a pharmacist or doctor before taking any medicine.

• Photos are sent over HTTPS only when you tap Analyze, and are not stored after the analysis.

Drug information and DUR warnings come from data published by Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) on the Public Data Portal (https://www.data.go.kr) and Drug Safety Korea (https://nedrug.mfds.go.kr). PillCheck is not affiliated with, and does not represent, the MFDS or any government agency.
