You really have to read the instructions , I too thought that I was setting up the camera correctly but I couldn't get it to connect. This is how I solved my problem. I read the instructions and it says during set up you must set it up with the default name and password on the camera wifi settings then after set up you go in and change the username and password. Hope this helps.

12-15-18 sent email asking for help to update firmware, we will see if I get a reply, no automated reply saying thanks for the email....trying to get this to work, WYZE camera brand is so simple to use and seems to have better quality camera. Feb. 2018 Sucks donkey b---s. Disconnects, time is unchangeable, day ahead and 13 hours off, fast & rev don't work, motion detector unusable, files are not labelled clearly and print on phone is so so so small. How did this pass quality control? Waste of time and money. Off line constantly!
