Description
Pixel Pulse can give you a pulsing Ambient Display that activates when you have notifications available.
The free option uses a branded icon and repeats the title and content of your actual notifications. The paid version adds the ability to use the default apps icon and colors, override colors, and have swipe and tap actions.
You can also replace the double tap to wake with the scrolling pulse, which is my favorite feature. Just be sure to turn off Google's double tap to wake.
For it to work you need the following settings: Notification content shown on the lock screen Always on display off Wake on new notifications on

How does one disable battery optimization for this app on a Pixel 3XL? It doesn't show up in the list of apps. Will change reviewed rating once it works for me. Edit: while I was unable to find the setting above, a reboot solved the issue and the app works as described. With some aesthetic adjustments, it would get 5 stars.

Works good on Pixel 3xl. I wish it would replicate a small flashing LED on the top corner of the screen. (Why did google not include this on the Pixel3?!) I would also like the option to show a pulse notification without vibrating. Great otherwise. I'm happy someone made this necessary app.

Works well on Pixel 3 if you follow the instructions. Only 2 bugs I've noticed is that the schedule doesn't work - i wonder if it doesn't adjust for different time zones? The other is that the pulse interval feature doesn't seem to do as it's told. But the main functionality works just fine.

Followed the instruction, just doesn't work at all. Using OnePlus 6T. Notifications are displayed by the phone's basic feature but nothing from pulse. it's too bad because it would have been an alternative. in any case the removal of the led light was a huge mistake by oneplus. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Followed all the steps. Perhaps it was broken with the recent update I received. In any case, I appreciate your efforts but I have decided to return the OnePlus 6T. This product SHOULD COME with some kind of notification system built-in. Thanks.

Can't get it to work on Pixel 3, I paid for the full version and have followed the instructions to the letter but no success. I'm on Android 10. I would love to have this working. Any suggestions?

Tried to get this working on my Pixel 2 in preparation to transition to Pixel 3. Does not work, gave it all the permissions required. Pretty useless
