Great for looking up tracks and bush walks. Has a growing number of reviews which is great. For example, I often search if a walk is suitable for kids or if there are any warnings in place.

Useful for getting a group of people onto the same page when planning a hike, makes it easier to pick the right one for your capability and time available, has an offline mode, and you can customize the walks. I like the gear list function too. Great tool for exploring Aotearoa!

all the "easy" walks are more than 2 hours long and require preparation. The "easy" ones are hiking paths. On the DOC website they are marked as intermediate and advanced. Do not download this app, I would not recommend getting your information from this app, please go straight to the DOC website. Also this is ableist!? Disabled hikers exist!!

I've only been using this in one small area of the country. I have found many walks that are not on this app. The ones on the app seem to be only doc hikes. There are so many more regional hikes I have found both easy and challenging. There seems to be no way to add these walks, if there is I can't find it. I find the interface not super user-friendly. I keep closing a walk and accidentally favoriting it. Overall I don't find this a very useful app to find places to go for walks or hikes.

Keeps logging me out after the latest update. Selecting dates when planning trips is very poorly designed and is a nightmare to get it working. It took 15 min to book the same date for a day trip. Just kept trying until it worked. Some of the tracks are also wrong and don't connect on the map making some plans impossible. Had a track trying to send me back down the same track and adding 3 hours to my plan because they were wrong on the map. Gave up on that in the end.
